Privacy Policy

Effective June 24, 2026. This page explains what we collect when you use right2compute.com and why.

Right to Compute(“we,” “us”) operates right2compute.com. This policy covers the coalition’s website and the forms on it — it does not cover third-party sites we link to.

Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly, through:

  • Join the Coalition — name, email, and optionally phone, zip code, and organization.
  • Email Your Legislator — name, email, and optionally phone, mailing address, and the text of your message, used to identify your congressional representatives and to keep a record of the outreach we facilitated on your behalf.
  • Take a Poll — your survey answers and an optional zip code. We do not ask for your name on this form.
  • Contact — name, email, and the content of your message.

We also collect basic, privacy-respecting analytics (page views, referrers, approximate location from IP, device/browser type) through a self-hosted Matomo instance we control. We do not sell this data, and we configure it to avoid cross-site tracking.

How we use it

  • To respond to you and process the request you made (joining, a legislator message, a contact inquiry).
  • To send you updates about the campaign, if you’ve given us your email or phone number.
  • To identify your U.S. Representative and Senators when you use the Email Your Legislator tool.
  • To understand aggregate trends in public opinion from survey responses.
  • To improve the site and measure whether our outreach is working.

SMS & phone consent

If you provide a phone number on our forms, you consent to receive SMS messages and/or calls from Right to Compute related to this campaign. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Reply STOP to any text to opt out at any time, or HELP for assistance. Consent to receive texts or calls is never a condition of joining the coalition, taking the survey, or contacting us.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the site and send communications on our behalf (e.g. our email delivery and hosting providers), under obligations to protect it, and when required by law.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, or opt out of communications at any time, by emailing hello@right2compute.com or using our Contact page. California residents have additional rights described in our Notice at Collection.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site and campaign evolve. Material changes will be reflected by the effective date above.

This is a plain-language summary of our privacy practices and is not a substitute for legal advice.
